Well, it's been a cool minute, anyway.

I finally had a good stretch of time to sit down and work on Paper Story, where I had the mental energy to work through my to-do list, and long story short I'm putting the finishing touches on the next version. Rather than have to release another round of hotfixes, I'm just uploading a batch file of all the 1.6.2 documents, ready for public review. They should be fully playable besides those finishing touches I mentioned, like a tidy table of contents or the index pages in the Species Compendium.

Please feel free to read over them and let me know if you run into any odd discrepancies or weird formatting. And if there's anything critical that I've missed, like things I've discussed on the Discord that you think should have gotten a write-up, or any other suggestions really, let me know so I can look into it.

I don't want to make any more claims as to this being the "final" final version, but the changes here are mostly tidying up. Clarifying rules, easing up and re-balancing some critical areas, and adding a few small touches here and there to round things out. It's very much still the same game, just hopefully a little more well-rounded.
The two things that stick out most would be:

• Nerf to Spontaneous Spells, requiring you to unlock Spirit along with your Magic dice.
• Relaxed the negative Trait limit, giving you more tools to play with from an early point without defaulting to GM fiat.

Hopefully those aren't controversial, but I'm happy to take design notes into consideration here too.

Once I'm confident in this version I'll upload the individual PDF's to Itch and finalise everything.

On another note in the time it took me to upload these PDF's my daughter woke up, peed on me and refused to elaborate, so I think I'm going to go to sleep now.
